</infobox> Prepper's Pie is a food item in The Long Dark, it is learned from a unique Recipe Card and is made with aCooking Skillet.

Overview

Prepper's Pie is a unique recipe with a powerful Condition-restoring effect similar to Dockworker's Pie. It requires a combination of natural and artificial ingredients, and is learned from a recipe card that spawns randomly in one of nine Prepper Cache bunkers. While it is marginally less calorie-efficient than its ingredients (total of 1200 kcal vs the pie's 1125 kcal), it has powerful effects--namely a large amount of Condition restoration. This allows it to form a similar function to the rare Emergency Stim.

Although Prepper's Pie has a base caloric value of 900, it requires level 5 Cooking to craft, so its calorie count will always be 25% greater (1125 kcal).

Most of the ingredients for Prepper's Pie are relatively common. However, Burdock Root is somewhat rare (1-4 per Region), and it often appears in remote or hidden areas.

Note: Prepared Burdock and Prepared Reishi Mushrooms cannot be used in Prepper's Pie, instead requiring their raw forms.
