Usage
The basic use for Cooking Oil is creation of various recipes. They are often found inside kitchens and pantries out in the open. Also it can be crafted via the Cooking menu (Skill Level 1) from Animal Fat that drops while harvesting carcasses.
Cooking Oil is composed of 0.75 L of Oil, and each recipe that requires it needs 0.05 L of Cooking Oil, making 1 bottle useful for 15 recipes.
As with other ingredients stored in a container (such as Lantern Fuel and Water) the glass jar the oil is contained in generates automatically when Cooking Oil is produced, and disappears when the oil is used up. It is not possible to divide Cooking Oil into smaller portions.
Trivia
Cooking Oil was originally measured in Spoonfuls, with one Cooking Oil having 15 Spoonfuls. This measurement changed to just weight in a subsequent update.
Crafting
Cooking Oil can be produced in a Cooking Pot or Cooking Skillet.
