Well Fed is a positive Affliction gained by avoiding starvation.

Overview

Well Fed activates when the player has managed to avoid starvation (calorie store count at 0) for 72 hours (three full days). When this is achieved, the player character will get a 5% buff to maximum Condition (capping it at 105%) and an increased carrying capacity of 5.00 kg (11.00 lbs.)

The carrying capacity effects stack with wearing a Moose-Hide Satchel and Technical Backpack, meaning that having all 3 present adds 15.00 kg (33.00 lbs) to your 30.00 kg Encumbrance capacity. Max Carry Weight can be increased further by acquiring the Unburdened affliction, temporarily increasing max Carry Weight by 3.00 kg for 3 hours, thus raising the maximum Carry Weight possible to 48.00 kg.

Losing Well Fed

Reaching Starvation at any point (reaching 0 Calorie Store) or gaining the Chemical Poisoning Affliction will remove Well Fed and its effects.

If Well Fed is not already active, then achieving 0 calorie store/Chemical Poisoning will reset the 72-hour timer required to activate Well Fed. This mechanic (and Scurvy) is designed to counteract the benefits of Hibernation.

Trivia

This affliction was added in the 2018 December Update and is the fourth positive affliction added to the game at the time (the other three being Warming Up, Improved Rest, and Fatigue Reduced) being the only one not requiring the consumption of specific food items to activate as well as the only one not having a set effect duration.
