Overview

Matt's Truck is found underneath a large unnamed viaduct-style bridge in Desolation Point along the main road. A pale blue pick-up Truck appears to have fallen from the bridge, broken through the ice, and is lodged nose-down in a river that feeds out into the ocean.

Matt, presumably also the driver of the truck, is sometimes found next to his truck in the form of a frozen corpse.

In the bed of the truck there may be a random tool or resource, such as Mountaineering Rope, Prybar, Jerry Can, Scrap Metal, and/or Firearm Cleaning Kit.

Matt's Truck lies roughly between Stone Church and The Riken. Green Birch Saplings occasionally spawn upstream from here, and Reishi Mushrooms can be found slightly inland. A Moose can spawn on the bridge above.

Trivia

The truck shows signs of rust and is in relatively poor condition suggesting is may have been in the river for a long time, or Matt himself may have not respected his possessions.
The player is allowed to enter the truck via the passenger-side door which is still partially exposed. In Previous version, this was silly as the player would then be sitting neck-deep in the ice and pointless as looting the interior was impossible.
The player often used to get stuck in between the ice sheets and the side of the truck when Desolation Point map was first released. Only careful maneuvering up the side of the truck could affect an escape. This was also fixed with a patch.
It appears that Matt lost control of the truck and plowed through the bridge barrier and into the river.
