Local Legends - The Lost Cave is a Collectible item found in Episode 3 of the Wintermute story mode to start the Tall Tales side mission.

During the course of the mission, Astrid Greenwood finds the book Local Legends - The Lost Cave from the Rural Store at Thomson's Crossing in Pleasant Valley, and are tasked to investigate a hidden glowing cave next to the Misty Falls Picnic Area.

A rite of passage for the few younger folk who remained in Pleasant Valley during recent years, hunting for the cave was one way to seek refuge from the reality of the region's extreme isolation.
