Survival School is a side mission in Episode 2 of the story.
Overview
The mission can be started by finding any of the three quest-related books.
Finding each book will reveal another task to complete. All three tasks must be revealed and completed in order to complete the mission.
Objectives
- Learn to craft Fishing Tackle, and catch fish from Mystery Lake (The Frozen Angler)
- Preserve nature's balance in nearby areas by reducing the wolf population (Advanced: Guns Guns Guns!)
- Cull a wolf in the Mystery Lake region.
- Cull a wolf in the Forlorn Muskeg region.
- Cull a wolf in the Broken Railroad region.
- Learn to hunt and kill a deer (Frontier Shooting Guide)
- Work through the survival school lessons
- Once the other three tasks for this mission are completed, this task will automatically be completed as well and the mission will succeed.
Location of the books
- Frontier Shooting Guide can be found in the hunter's blind near Unnamed Pond in Mystery Lake.
- Advanced: Guns Guns Guns! can be found in the Poacher's Camp in Forlorn Muskeg.
- The Frozen Angler can be found in the Camp Office on Mystery Lake.
Rewards
- Deerskin Boots and Deerskin Pants blueprints, awarded after completing the "Hunt a stag" sub-objective.
- Wolfskin Coat blueprint, awarded after completing the "Preserve nature's balance" sub-objective.
