</infobox> Weakened State is an Affliction acquired after choosing to Cheat Death.

Overview

In-game Description
}}

Choosing to Cheat Death will give the player Weakened State, and is always paired with the temporary or permanent Cheated Death Penalty Affliction.

Effects

  • Condition and Stamina recovery are halved
  • Condition and Stamina drain more quickly
  • The world will have a Black and White filter placed over it, making it harder to distinguish items and threats, especially in low lighting conditions. This is similar to turning on "Noir" in the "Image Filter" options setting.

Waiting the allotted Recovery Time will clear the Affliction. In this time, it is advised to avoid exploring until the Affliction has passed and your Condition has recovered. Once the Affliction heals, the Black and White filter will instantly disappear.

Recovery Time

The Recovery Time for this Affliction is different for each Experience (Cheat Death is not enabled on Misery Mode however). Dying multiple times and choosing to Cheat Death does not cause the Recovery Times to stack if the previous Affliction was not healed.

Experience 1st Death 2nd Death 3rd Death
Pilgrim 36 hours 48 hours 60 hours
Voyageur 48 hours 60 hours 72 hours
Stalker 60 hours 72 hours 84 hours
Interloper 60 hours 72 hours 84 hours
