Best way with the Bow is by killing them via ambush, which is far easier at Bow Skill level 5, where the player can shoot arrows from crouched rather than needing to stand to draw and fire. Narrow terrain such as choke points is also effective at funneling timberwolves into one's line of fire, and vehicles or structures are useful for ducking into to abort an attack if you get in trouble.
