"They are much rarer than simple tools but weigh slightly less, making them ideally kept at your main shelter."

This seems counterintuitive to me - if they weigh less wouldn't it be best to carry this tool set with you (if you wanted to carry one at all) and leave the simple tools which weigh more at your main shelter?
