Well, as I wrote on the Hostility section, you entered its detection radius.

"Moose have a detection radius of which if a player is in the radius, Moose will stop walking and begin to stare at them, growling and stomping once on the ground, indicating his annoyance from the players' action (ie. Approaching too close to a Moose, harassing, etc)."


And no, the Pilgrim does not loses it's point. It CLEARLY states that the Wildlife (Including wolves and bears) will STILL attack you ONLY if PROVOKED. Of course, it is uknown how can we provoke them as they always flee from us so it needs some testing indeed. As for Moose, it's mostly passive and will never ever attack you randomly/intentionally like wolves and bears, particularly the first. You walked into Moose's detection radius, you was pissing it off aka provoking it.

  • Wildlife will not attack the player unless provoked.

This is what it says when selecting Pilgrim mode, so, the mode does not loses it's point.
