As for the information about Methuselah, that's correct.  When Methuselah (grandfather of Noah) died, the Flood happened.

Now, the question is Methuselah some kind of angel?  Possibly.  Or it could simply be a nickname given to someone very, very old.  Methuselah was the oldest person recorded in the Bible, living to an age of 969 years.

This is why people often say the phrase "old as Methuselah" when speaking about elderly people.
