DO NOT GET GREEDY AND SPEND TOO LONG IN THE MIDDLE MINE. Getting trapped there when the aurora goes out a slow but certain death. I recommend leaving 1-2 Flashlights, a Lantern, and maybe a prepared Coffee or two near the mine's lower entrance, so as you explore Coastal Highway, you can enter the Lower Mine whenever an aurora begins and you're close enough to attempt visiting it. A flashlight can be found inside the elevator (lower level), and sometimes in the upper level at several locations.

This is one of the richest loot areas in the game, though probably not on Interloper since no guns spawn. A Revolver and MRE in a backpack to the left, a corpse with a Rifle, Box of Bullets on the body, and 2 more bullets to the right. Also found a Can of Gunpowder inside a wheelbarrow.

Some lockers are locked so bring a crowbar if you want to access everything. There are several wooden crates which may contain supplies, and a metal shelf which can be scrapped with a hacksaw; all of which are very dangerous prospects to harvest since they take so much time.
