Yes, Prybars are extremely effective at ending Wolf Struggles quickly by scaring away a Wolf.

However the downfall of Prybars is they do not injure the Wolf very much, and cannot ever cause the wolf to start bleeding. Killing Wolves is beneficial, since they will not be back to interfere with you until they respawn. It is possible to kill a Wolf with a Prybar, but this requires getting into 6-7 Struggles with the same Wolf.
