Moose WILL attack you in Pilgrim. The only provoking they need is to not leave the area asap if they detect you. Got stomped 3 times, in 3 different Pilgrim saves, because I did not gtfo when it lowered its head. They are NOT "hostile" like a bear or wolf. They are territorial, and being in their detection range makes them cranky. I took no shots at them, no rifle, no bow. So, in Pilgrim, do NOT approach a moose thinking it will flee. They don't. They will stomp you if you get too close.
