I think mending skill has nothing to do with crafting hours.

And sewing kit is always faster than fishing tackle but if you only got the tackle in inventory then it displays weird numbers (same with improvised tools). As an example, you say satchel take 16h with tackle and 20h with kit, when this wiki says satchel take 10h of crafting.
