You can skip the whole sunny thing.



Just get a Torch, light it, and use that to light a circle of campfires around you using sticks. If your Torch is low condition, throw an extra stick on one of the fires and take a new Torch from it.

You can do this day and night, and inside caves too! And it doesn't at all depend on the fickle weather or having the fortune to actually find a Magnifying lens.
