Like a lot of the clothing it depends. Generally speaking all the craftable clothes have similar strengths/weaknesses:

-Really heavy often with a bad weight/warmth ratio

-Despite a bad weight/warmth ratio, are still REALLY warm and are only beaten out by top-tier, rare clothing items

-Unlike said rare clothing items, you don't need to sacrifice to RNGesus to earn them, you just need to kill the relevant animal

I generally advise crafting some of each when you can.
