Well, you have four options.

1. Try to crouch-walk past the wolf. Feeding wolfs have less perception, especially if you are behind them.
2. Throw a lit flare or torch near the feet of the wolf to scare it away. You said you had a fire going at the church? You can pull a torch from the fire and use that.
3. Drop a decoy. If you still have meat left, you can use the drop decoy button and the wolf will go after the meat instead.
4. Throw a rock on the other side of the wolf. The wolf will investigate the sound and you can make your getaway!
