Terry a minor character in Episode 5: The Light At The End Of All Things of Wintermute in The Long Dark. He appears in Episode 2: Luminance Fugue and Episode 3: Crossroads Elegy as the "Radio Voice Man."

Appearance

Terry wears a green jacket, glasses.

History

A resident of Perseverance Mills, Terry operates his own radio hut.

He is a man of a conspiratorial/distrusting of government types nature, with his motto being "Trust No One." Terry also enjoys cannabis blunts.

Terry is first heard on a radio broadcast as Will Mackenzie attempts to contact Perseverance Mills when Jeremiah's shortwave radio is powered by the Aurora, in order to locate Astrid Greenwood. He intercepts a distress call from the Mills, with a man on the radio mentioning needing help and a quarantine. Before Mackenzie can ask what the problem is or if Astrid is at the Mills, the shortwave radio shorts out and contact is lost.

The same radio broadcast from Episode 2 is played again at Signal Hill, this time from Astrid Greenwood's perspective. The broadcast is mostly the same, but with slightly more dialogue.

Episode 5: The Light At The End Of All Things

Terry first appears outside of his shack when Astrid climbs the road to ask him about a distress call he heard the other night. Terry comes out, smoking a blunt and confusing Astrid for someone coming to take several Car Batteries back from him that he is not finished with. Terry eventually invites Astrid inside and explains that he intercepted a distress call from before the lights went out in Desperation Bay.

Terry appears at the end of the mission, excitedly leading in Mathis into the bar (mistakenly believing him to be a rescuer that has answered his distress call). Terry is then shoved out of the way, as Mathis smiles and begins taking over the town.

Terry is then taken prisoner inside Cooper's Blind along with the other residents of the town after this point.

Conflagration

Terry is last seen in the bunker under the Suzuki Radio Telescope, residing with the other survivors of Perseverance Mills after having escaped the town.

Trivia

• He is listed as "Radio Voice Man" in Episode 2 and 3, and is voiced by Noel Johansen.
  • He is voiced by Nick Wolfhard in Episode 5, and is revealed to be named Terry.
