&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;New page&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div&gt;The revolver will not scare bears off.  They react the same way they would to the rifle.  However, that does mean that if you shoot them from outside their detection range, they will run away from you.  And, yes, they will bleed out eventually.  It takes quite a while, so I&amp;#039;d go do something else for the rest of the day and come back in the morning to look for the carcass.&lt;br /&gt;

I&amp;#039;m pretty sure the revolver can get critical hits, but has a very low chance compared to the rifle.  I&amp;#039;m not 100% sure about that.  I&amp;#039;ve yet to one-shot a bear, but I&amp;#039;ve definitely taken wolves and deer down in one hit, even though they can usually survive a shot or two.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
I wouldn&amp;#039;t count on getting a crit to hunt a bear or stop one from charging, though.  I&amp;#039;ve dumped well over a dozen rounds into a bear without taking it down.  Just shoot it once from far away and wait for time to do the rest.&lt;/div&gt;</summary>
