&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;Mending&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; is a Survival [[Skills|Skill]] that is used to repair equipment, such as [[Clothing]] and certain [[Tools]]. Mending also has a large variety of training options relative to most other skills due to the number of types of clothing that can be repaired.&lt;br /&gt;

== Repairable Items ==&lt;br /&gt;
The following items can be repaired with the Mending skill:&lt;br /&gt;

* Any non-Ruined:&lt;br /&gt;

Ruined Clothing cannot be repaired, only harvested for materials. The Mending skill does not lower clothing crafting times or increase when crafting clothing.&lt;br /&gt;

==How to repair clothing==&lt;br /&gt;
Mending is the skill used to repair Clothing and Bedrolls in &amp;#039;&amp;#039;[[The Long Dark]]; a&amp;#039;&amp;#039;s the player successfully repairs items, their skill in mending increases. Clothing requires a [[Sewing Kit]] or [[Fishing Tackle]], resources the item is made out of (e.g. [[Cloth]] or [[Cured Leather]]), and sufficient light in order to begin repairs (daylight, full moonlight, [[Aurora|artificial lighting]] or an active [[Fire]]/[[Storm Lantern]]).&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
To repair a piece of clothing select the item the backpack or the worn clothing menu. Then select &amp;quot;Actions&amp;quot; and &amp;quot;Repair&amp;quot;; the required resources, time required and amount repaired if successful will be displayed. Higher Mending skill decreases the time required to mend and increases the condition restored as well as the successful repair rate.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Failing to repair results in the materials used in the repair to be wasted, but causes no additional condition loss to the item. Repairing clothing successfully or failing causing condition loss to the Sewing Kit/Fishing Tackle used.&lt;br /&gt;

==Equipment==&lt;br /&gt;
A tool is required to repairing Clothing. Sewing Kits can be found by looting. Fishing Tackle can be found or crafted from [[Hook]] and [[Line]]. Fishing Tackle is 100% slower (twice as long) to repair than using Sewing Kits. Some items such as [[Crampons]] and [[Improvised Crampons]] required Scrap Metal and tools to fix.&lt;br /&gt;
