==Overview==<br />
A '''Cougar Quarter''' is a section harvested from a [[Cougar]]. You can obtain Cougar quarters by ''quartering'' a [[Cougar Carcass]]. To quarter an animal, you have to go into the harvest menu, then select the quartering action. For a Cougar, this will always take 2 hours. You can only quarter a Cougar if its less than 50% frozen.<br />

After quartering, the carcass will despawn, leaving behind 2 quarters, as well as its [[Fresh Gut]] and [[Fresh Cougar Hide]]. It will also leave behind the Cougar's legs and blood, but this cannot be picked up, and it will soon despawn.<br />

Unlike directly harvesting a fresh carcass' meat, you will still need to harvest a quarter for its meat. 50% of the quarters total weight will be turned into usable [[Cougar Meat (Raw)]]. Any remaining raw meat left inside the bag will be lost if the Quarter's Condition reaches 0%, with bags spoiling within 1 day of harvesting.<br />
