<p class="MsoNormal">Firstly, I want to assure you that George meant no insult and that what you are perceiving as such is the product of English not being his first language. "Announce you a sad new" is not a valid English phrase, and after discussing this with George, I believe the approximate intended phrase to be "announce to you some sad news."</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">If you would like to help the wiki, you are welcome to transcribe your walkthroughs and add them as text in the style found elsewhere on the wiki, and where appropriate, possibly include screen-grabs from your videos.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">The idea of the wiki is to have a platform that anyone can easily edit and improve; long, self-made, self-owned videos do not readily lend themselves to this notion. Even if your videos are posted in good faith, we don't want to set a precedent that allows for people to add entertainment videos masqueraded as informational videos with the intent to gain followers.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">In an effort to preclude self-promotion and allow for a certain level of quality throughout the wiki, the decision was made to disallow any videos in the articles, apart from those videos produced or endorsed by Hinterland Studio. </p>

<p class="MsoNormal">You might find your walkthroughs to be appreciated on the [http://www.hinterlandforums.com/index.php?/forums/ Hinterland Forums] , on the [https://www.reddit.com/r/thelongdark/ subreddit] , or even as they are: native on [https://www.youtube.com/user/TheMediaJack/videos YouTube] . Also, the other Long Dark wiki may feel differently towards walkthrough videos.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">You can link to your videos in the comment sections of the challenge pages or in the discussions, however know that it will be at the admins' discretion to determine what constitutes spam and what does not. If you choose this, I would suggest you consolidate your videos into one YouTube playlist for each challenge and link to the playlist instead.</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">I would also like to apologize for not having addressed this issue earlier when you asked on the [[Hopeless Rescue]] page.</p>
