Gotta disagree with the article about the revolver's usefulness as a hunting tool.  The sights don't have the slight zoom the rifle does, but once you get a feel for them, you can bullseye things pretty far off.  Practice on some cans if you're having trouble.  Once you've got it, you can easily hit a bear from outside its detection range.  Sure, it takes an age to bleed out, but that's just means you do something else for the rest of the day.  Come back tomorrow and you're laughing over bear steaks.

Bait wolves for easy headshots.  Deer take a bit of practice, but if you can sneak up and pop them in the head, the revolver does the business.

I will admit, it's not good for moose, though.  It doesn't have the damage or the crit chance of the rifle.  I've dumped over two dozen rounds into a moose and still didn't drop it.  

All in all, I much prefer the revolver to the rifle for all non-moose related circumstances.  It's light enough to just carry with you all the time and bullets for it are everywhere.
