Ill take a wolf anyday as i can simply pop a flare or a torch and call it a day, hell you can even steal a fucking wolf's kill if you manage to catch him early enough just by scaring him away. Throwing rocks at them actually also works at scaring them and i haven't had any bad situations with wolves on stalker yet since i could always just pop me torch, a flare or simply shit out a fire real quick with accelerant.
