Deerskin Boots are a heavy crafted boot that outclass Insulated Boots in every way. They have an incredibly low decay rate (0.065% per day) second only to work boots. Deerskin provide the most warmth and wind protection. They can be repaired on the fly, but must be first crafted at work table.

Deerskin Boots are NOT the most effcient boot in terms of decay rate. That honor should be going to Work Boots who have a decay rate of (0.040%). Furthermore supplies of cloth and cured leather are not tied to Hide Collection which uses the knife, or other methods and materials (like a campfire) to collect. Different resource pools compair between but it is worth mentioning that Work Boots recieve 50% condition gains when repaired. Deerskin will recieve 30% (Which is still excellent) This is worth mentioning because while work boots can be repaired for longevity they have to be worn down to at least 50% before they can be optimally repaired. Deerskin on the other hand only need to drop down to 70% condition before they can be repaired which means you stay warmer more often when using them they only range between 100% and 70% condition vs Work Boots 100% to 50%. 

TLDR: Deerskin Boots are amazing. <3 They are my favorite  and Workboots are my favorite for Lightweight Loadouts.
