I assume your survivor is dead by now, but yeah Jack-diddly Island is over-hyped. Quonset Garage is really the only worthwhile long term base in Coastal Highway. It may be a wolf club, but there's usually a bear and sometimes a moose to compensate for the inconvenience. Plus there's plenty of wood, cloth and sticks around so you can keep enough torches in stock until you're ready to deal with wolves in other ways like shooting or tanking them.

Wolves can enter this place. I was standing inside with direct line of sight to the door and a wolf charged in and cost me a solid interloper run. Really wish the rules for this were more consistent. It makes no sense that wolves will not enter Old Spence Family Homestead but will enter this place.

Yeah, they need to fix this. Moose are not mountain goats, and neither are bears for that matter. Wolves are probably light and agile enough to scamper up a tilted log, but that's it. I've seen deer bounding across a fallen tree which acts as a natural bridge across Hushed River and it looked ridiculous.
